Anil Bhaskaran completed  Bachelor of Architecture from the College of Engineering, Trivandrum with the First Rank and Distinction from the University of Kerala, India. Subsequently, he completed the Master of Architecture in Urban Design from the University of Minnesota, USA on a university scholarship. Bhaskaran is a winner of two UN scholarships, a National merit scholarship and a State Merit scholarship in India. He is an associate member of Indian Institute of Architects. He has traveled extensively and given talks on various topics related to Architecture, at many places in India and abroad.

Presently, he is the Managing Director and Chief Architect of Initiative for Benchmark and Design Excellence in Architecture, an Architecture and Urban Design firm with its office in Bangalore in India.

His works have been published in leading national publications.

He was selected as the Architect of the year-1997 by "Bangalore Monthly".
